Vincent Svonavec, VMD
Meet Dr. Vincent Svonavec! Dr. Vince has been practicing veterinary medicine for twenty-five years. He completed his undergraduate studies at Penn State University and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. His fields of interest include internal medicine and ultrasound diagnostics. Dr. Vince’s life outside of Animal Medical Center revolves around his family. He and his wife keep busy with the activities of their three daughters, including helping with their 4-H livestock projects of lambs, meat goats and pigs. Pictured with Dr. Vince is one of his many four-legged family members, Rikki. Rikki is a nine-year-old Labrador Retriever. Rikki is not only Dr. Vince’s good buddy, but has also been a blood donor for more than a few of our critically ill canine patients.
Michael Nosko, VMD
Meet Dr. Michael Nosko! Dr. Nosko has been practicing veterinary medicine for twenty-five years. He completed his undergraduate studies at University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and earned his Veterinary Degree from the University of Pennsylvania. His fields of interest include surgery, weight management and geriatric and preventative care. When not caring for your pets, Dr. Nosko and his wife are usually enjoying the outdoors and taking care of the animals on their farm. The little blue-eyed beauty you see stealing the show would be Patty, Dr. Nosko’s eight-year-old Siamese kitty. When not romping with her various other housemates, Patty loves to spend her time seeking out comfy places to curl up and nap.
Stacey Sheahan, VMD
Dr. Stacey Sheahan is originally from Cumberland, MD; she completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. She has been working as a mixed animal veterinarian for the past three years. Her fields of interest include surgery, nutrition, and preventative medicine. Dr. Sheahan and her husband enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and spending time with their two dogs, Elim and Chester.
Ashley Maust, DVM
Meet Dr. Ashley Maust! Dr. Maust was born and raised in Somerset County! She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown graduating magna cum laude with a degree in biology and chemistry. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. Her fields of interest include soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and preventative care! Dr. Maust is a fear free certified veterinarian, meaning she takes extra pride in ensuring vet visits are as low stress as possible for her patients. In addition to her love of veterinary medicine, Dr. Maust and her husband are the proud owners of May’s Country Kennels, a pet boarding facility located in Friedens, PA. Pictured with Dr. Ashley, is her best friend and hiking buddy, Annie!
